Last Thursday sk-interfaces, FACT’s first major exhibition of 2008 launched. Dr Peter Butler, the plastic surgeon given the go-ahead to perform the UK’s first face transplant, was at FACT to open the exhibition.
Curated by Jens Hauser and featuring work by artists including ORLAN, Stelarc, Wim Delvoye and Tissue Culture and Art Project, the exhibition explores the use of skin, materially or metaphorically, as an interface.
